When you stop to think about… how amazing is it to know the mind of God – the One who created us and this world?
His word tells us about our origins; how we came to be. It tells us about our Maker; who He is, what He is like, and what He is doing. It tells us who we are as His people. And, it tells us how He created us to live and function in this reality He created. Where would we be without this valuable resource?
Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.
Psalm 119:18
I think this is such a beautiful prayer because we cannot desire God’s word on our own.
Without the leading of the Holy Spirit, we will not rejoice in it, meditate upon it, or delight in it as instructed. We also will not understand it and, as a result, we will not walk in it.
Thank You, Lord, for enabling us to treasure and live in wonder of Your word.

I started off by stamping the books, glasses, and magnifying glass from the Library Treasures set directly onto the page. Immediately after stamping, I stamped the leftover ink onto scrap paper and cut out those images to create masks. I covered the stamped images on the page, using the masks, before using the Diamond Mesh stencil over them. I used the stencil to apply navy blue ink in the margin mostly and also very lightly near the text then added dots using a white gel pen in certain areas.
Then, I hand-lettered the word “treasure” and stamped out “HIS WORD” using the Skinny Caps Alpha in black ink. I didn’t get enough ink on there, so I outlined the letters and coloured “WORD” using markers to stand out more. I also coloured the books using the same markers and finished the page with my notes and some highlighting.
