It is said that we human beings are all living in the pursuit of happiness.
But, I would argue that we’re in pursuit of love. For we were created by Love, to be loved, and to love. How satisfying it is to know His love.
Almighty God calls me beloved. You too!
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
He uses our difficult times for good because He loves us. We don’t deserve anything yet He does so much for us; again, because of His great love.
My heart was cheered by these reminders in the Invited devotional. And, again, all I can say in response is “thank You, Lord!!”
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
