Changed in His Presence

This month, I’m joining @creativeworshipstamps in sharing a celebration of the seasons through their faith-inspiring products made for creative worship. I’ll be sharing reflections on His faithfulness towards us in every season.

He gives us spring seasons – times of growth, renewal, and transformation.

As I reflect on today, the anniversary of my baptism, I can say with all assurance that beholding God changes you. I am not who I was and He did that. In His presence, we are made new, transformed into our true selves, and given the “wings” to fly.

But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

The background for this page was inspired by a fellow creative team member @karendecknick and a technique she shared in the Creative Worship Stamps VIP Group on Facebook. I used the Messy Blocks stencil and added yellow, green, and purple inks using a blending brush.

Then, I stamped some butterflies and florals in a mix of the same colours using Vintage Butterflies & Blooms. I also stamped butterflies onto mixed media paper and coloured them using watercolour paint. After they dried, I added some white dots using a gel pen.

I stamped the sentiment about flying using the Have Courage set. Then, I typed up the sentiment about change using my typewriter and shaded it with the same purple ink. Lastly, I highlighted the text on the left side and added a date stamp.

🎶 Tore the Veil ~ Newlands Worship, Leeland

The barrier between us and God was removed when Jesus paid the price to redeem us. No longer do we remain lost and alone. No longer do we do life on our own. For now we have access to the Father and all that entails. We have His Spirit within us revealing to us Who God is and who we truly are as His; springing up to new life.

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
