He gives us summer seasons; times of work and preparation.
The bible tells us what life will be like during the last days. He specifically called us into fellowship for these days. We were made new for such a time as now. We are given life by His Spirit, equipped by the truth of His word, and we are sent to tell others what we know.
Regardless of where you are placed for this missional work. Regardless of who you are sent to. Regardless of what you are tasked to do. With His Spirit within us, it is all sacred work.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

I took a simpler approach for these pages. I stamped the Sunflower Background in three areas and mimicked the design by adding some art marks use wax crayons by DiverseBee. I also used them to highlight the text. Then, I brought in those same colours using the Oval Mesh stencil with coordinating ink and a blending brush. The title was created using the Skinny Caps Alpha, Boss Lady Alpha, and Have Courage stamp sets.

🎶 A New Reality ~ Sarah Kroger
I love this song! It’s a reminder to see the mundane through eyes of wonder.
In her book, Being Fully Known: The Joyful Satisfaction of Beholding, Becoming, and Belonging, Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith talks about the difference between busy work and sacred work. Busy work is what we do routinely without thinking too much about it; our career or everyday work. Sacred work shows up as interruptions to the routine. They are opportunities given to us to minister to others. To be used by God in the ways He has equipped us. To do the work He has prepared.
I appreciate the distinction between the two types of work so as to not dismiss the interruptions or even see them as “interruptions” instead of divine appointments. At the same time, I have also learned to not elevate one over the other. Mundane and everyday work is sacred as well because we live for Him and glorify Him in all we do.
Despite our habits and routines, the fact remains that life is different every single day. Each day is an opportunity for unknown miracles if we have the perspective to look for and see them. Embrace the sacred work – all of it.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him… Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:17, 23-24
