Rest in His peace

I’m closing out the Rest Here devotional with one major takeaway:

The answer to every question, need and desire, is Jesus Christ.

This is my fourth and final entry for “Rest Here” – the October 2025 devotional by Illustrated Faith, written by @kristina.proffitt. In “Rest Here”, Kristina encourages us to enter into God’s rest; to create space for physical and spiritual rest. She shares some of the ways we can do that as well as the benefits in doing so.

In previous posts, I shared my reflections on the first session, titled “Pause”, here: Rest in hope. Then, on the second session, titled “Prayer”, here: Rest in His grace. And on the third session, titled “Presence”, here: Rest in His presence.

In the last session, titled “Peace”, Kristina encourages us with the reminder that “Peace is always there, just like God is always near. If you find God, you find peace.”

Perfect and abundant peace – that is the promise. This peace becomes evident in our surrendered lives as we live as He instructed. It is as apparent as our awareness of His constant nearness.

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

Isaiah 26:3

Abundant peace belongs to those who love your instruction; nothing makes them stumble.

Products used

My journaling is in my faith journal which is a basic, blank, A5 notebook.

I’m using the digital version, instead of the physical kit, this month. I paired the ephemera with a mix of stamps, washi, and alpha stickers that I had in my stash as well as some printables from Illustrated Faith’s digital Print Pray Shop.

🎶 Where You Are ~ Leeland

Do you want peace? Joy? Rest?

Don’t seek those things in and of themselves, but seek Him, for they all flow from Him.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
