I had a “reading journal” layout in mind as I did these pages, and wanted to create something that looked like a library or cozy reading nook area.
I started with the background using the Knit stencil with light brown ink and a blending brush. Then, I glued some kraft paper to the bottom part of the pages.
I stamped the bookshelf, from Library Treasures, a few times onto sticker paper. I then cut these out by hand but there is a coordinating die set: Library Treasures die set. Then, I deconstructed the bookshelves by cutting the shelf from the books and separating some of the book clusters. I coloured the shelves and some of the books using markers. Then, I reassembled them and placed some potted plants in between.
The green potted plants are from the Let’s Get Cozy stamp set. The other pots are from the Postage Stamp Add-ons stamp set and I paired those with leaves from the Peaceful Botanicals stamp set.
I created the cozy area using a chair and lamp from the Let’s Get Cozy stamp set. I coloured these with watercolour paint then glued them to the page. I added some light under the lamp using the Star Pattern stencil. The stack of books is from Library Treasures and the cup is from the Read More stamp set. Then, I stamped the entire set of Worshipful Wordfetti stamps around the nook area to give the effect of an ocean of words flowing over the area.
Lastly, I stamped the title using the Boss Lady Alpha stamp set.
