This month, I’m reflecting on what it means to live by faith.
I’m reminded that to live by faith is to take God at His word. It is believing and trusting in His faithfulness.
“In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one” [Ephesians 6:16]
“He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.” [Psalm 91:3-4]

I started with the Delicate Butterflies die set to cut out two butterflies from mixed media paper. I cut out both the intricate butterflies as well as their basic shapes. Then, I coloured them using ink and a blending brush. For the pink butterfly, I laid the intricate die cut on top of the basic one and outlined the holes then filled them in using markers. Then, I glued the parts of the butterflies together down the middle only so that the wings remained free. And, I added some splatters from white acrylic paint over them.
After I knew where these two butterflies would be positioned on the page, I stamped the Butterflies in Flight in red ink. Then, I glued them to the page. I also stamped a few more butterflies from the Nature Silhouettes set in brown ink.
Next, I used the Delightfully Delicate stencil to add some detail over the page using brown ink and a blending brush. Then, I stamped the word “faith” and its definition in a few places using the Faith Definitions 1 set.
I added a title using the Typewriter Alpha and The Goodness of God set. The sentiments on the bottom of the page are from the Butterflies in Flight set.
Lastly, I brought in some more black using stamps from the Nature Silhouettes set. Then, I highlighted the text using markers.

🎶 God Help Me Believe ~ Soul Remedy
He sends His rain upon all. Will you receive it as blessing or inconvenience? Will you be shaken in the storm or will you declare His goodness in its midst? Will you declare that He is right to be just?
“Help me believe” is a prayer of faith.
It is believing that God wants to hear from us in all things. And that He wants us to ask Him to move in response.
Faith is believing that He is Who He says He is and trusting that He will do as promised.
Faith is action based upon that belief.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
