Gratitude is an act of faith

As our God is so abundant in grace, mercy, glory, and wisdom – guess how blessed we are as His children.

Abundant gratitude, then, is a fitting response to His daily grace and tender mercies.

The practice of gratitude is looking quite different for me since my Joy Journal days. It is now integrated into my very breath. I don’t give thanks because life is “going well” but because I have life. And, this life was made for praise!

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit.

This is my memory keeping planner where I document life as a form of gratitude; celebrating the little things, big things, and everything in between.

I’ll be sharing more about that and how gratitude is an act of faith during Creative Worship Stamps Live By Faith Virtual Retreat in March. Find more details and early bird pricing here: https://creativeworshipstamps.com/products/live-by-faith-virtual-creative-worship-retreat-2026

I used the Knit stencil to add some detail to the upper corners of the planner using grey ink and a blending brush.

Then, I added my photos, washi tape, and some stickers from The Happy Planner. I used the Picture This stamp and coordinating Polaroid die set to add some dimension to two of the photos. I also added some sentiments and images using the other stamp sets. Then, I finished with my journaling.

🎶 Your Faithfulness to Me ~ Life.Church Worship

I saw a post recently that was being critical of the church because it was resembling the world to the point that the world is no longer hostile towards the church. I’m not a fan of these sort of sentiments because I don’t think they’re helpful.

I also found it to be short-sighted because scripture tells us what will be. Though the church falls asleep in the latter days while waiting for His return, God remains faithful to us. He maintains a remnant for His purposes. And, He will do what is necessary to reawaken the hearts of the rest of His body in His appointed time.

We’re also not called to be critical of the body of Christ – why do the work of the enemy? – but to encourage one another. To those who are asleep and walking in worldliness, and not faith, we can be in prayer for them while remaining confident that God will restore them in faithfulness as promised.

God’s faithfulness to His word works to bring forth our faith.

Although we may not want to endure the trials and the suffering of dying to self, they are graciously given to refine and grow our faith in Him. If we face them from a place of being rooted in His love, of being assured of His goodness towards us, then our eyes can be opened to see how He wants to restore our faith. And then, we can respond with praise and gratitude through it all.

If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.
