I will sing Jesus

There has been a lot happening these past 6 months and I have felt so weary at times.

I’ve realized that it’s in my moments of weariness that I’m most tempted to “quit“ i.e. disobey His command to live by faith. When I’m weary, I look at my current circumstances and conclude that I won’t have enough of what’s required for tomorrow’s needs.

Yet, there is grace for each day, there is sufficient strength for today. What I now suffer pales in comparison to what Jesus did for my salvation. And so, I will look to Him and sing. I will rest in His promised strength and courage to endure.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Process and products used:

This page in my NIV Journal the Word Bible features the following products by Creative Worship Stamps. These are affiliate links, please see the Privacy Policy for details.

This page started off with some watercolours for the background. I used too much water and that warped the page a bit, however, I just love the effect. After it dried, I stamped the Vintage Sheet Music over it using pink ink. Next, I added the plant images, which I think are dandelion seeds, from Take Flight stamp. Then, I stamped the title using Skinny Caps Alpha and He Proved His Love. I stamped the word “praise”, from the Worshipful Wordfetti set, onto sticker paper and did the same with “spread seeds of hope” from the Take Flight set. I added these to the page over the dandelion seeds and outlined them to stand out more. Finally, I finished the page with my notes, some highlighting using markers, and a prayer.

🎶 I Will Sing Jesus ~ Highlands Worship

When we suffer, we are joining with Jesus in His suffering, just as we share in His resurrection. “Singing Jesus” means to call on the name of Jesus. It means to remember Him in our suffering and cry out to Him the promises He made to us to live this Christian life faithfully.

But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.
