I talk about rejoicing a lot because my tendency is to complain; having known more pain than joy.
There is a lot to lament in this broken world. Yet, there are so many reasons to rejoice regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves in on any given day. I’ve found comfort in these truths over the years, and I hope they bless you today.
Rejoice in your salvation.
rejoice that your names are written in heaven
Luke 10:20
We often go chasing after the wrong things in this life because we grew up in this world and adopt its ways. Yet, we are never satisfied because our souls long for more than this world can ever offer. No matter what we will have to endure in this world, we know what happens in the end when we put our faith in Jesus Christ – we get to return Home to the God who made us for Himself.
I think we can take this for granted but this was a wonderful act of love. We should be continually in awe of His deliverance and grateful for His daily mercies.
Rejoice in memory of who He is.
The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
Psalm 29:10-11
the Lord sits enthroned as king forever.
May the Lord give strength to his people!
May the Lord bless his people with peace!
Remember who He is – sovereign Creator; He holds all things in His hands. Remember who you are – beloved child of God; living by faith and following after Jesus. He is our God, we are His people. He is mighty and He goes with us. We are never helpless or alone. God promises to help those who love Him, walks in His ways, and calls on Him in times of trouble.

I wanted a simple background so that the title could be the main focus. I use the Cosmos Background stamp in light blue ink on both sides of the column. Then, I used the Oval Mesh stencil to add some detail inside each petal using the same ink, however, there were remnants of yellow ink on the stencil which added variation to the colour.
The quotes are from the Peony Cluster stamp. I used the Skinny Caps Alpha stamps for the title. Lastly, I layered some washi tape for a finishing touch.

Praise the Giver ~ Matt Maher
Remembering who God is and, from that context, who we are as believers in Jesus Christ helps us to view the challenges of this life differently. Whatever we are given will be used for His purposes to bring about good. All of this life is a gift, praise the Giver!
