In the waiting, He is revealing to me His great love.
He fights for, defends, and advocates for me. This is something that I am unaccustomed to and I’m still surprised to experience it. I’m thankful for the suffering that unveiled this. For, now, I am freed to let go of my own defences and embrace stillness.
I can rest in His love.
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

I can rest in His grace.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

I can rest in His sovereignty.
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Psalm 46:10

I’m using the devotional kits by Illustrated Faith for June and July 2025 based on the book of Acts. The study is written by Taylor Rauschkolb who is @bravelittletaylor on Instagram. It looks at the lives of the early church to see what life surrendered to and empowered by the Holy Spirit looks like.
The kits are sold out but the digital version as well as related items can be found on the Illustrated Faith website. Check out the #IF_CampActs hashtag and @illustratedfaith feed on Instagram for more details.
I used elements from the kits along with some printable goodies from Illustrated Faith’s Print Pray Shop -LaQuisha’s @confidentcanvas freebie called “Sabbath Rest” and @kristina.proffitt latest printable called “Take Note”.
As for the disc-bound journal pictured, I go over my approach to this study of Acts in this post: The promised Gift.

🎶 Let Me Love You More ~ 7 Hills Worship
Jesus came to show us the truth about the abundant life. This truth leads to freedom which then leads to freedom, and freedom to rest. His invitation to rest is an invitation to be loved; yes, loved even more. Lord, have Your way.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:17
