- Finch Collage stamp

- Heart of Gratitude stamp set
- Spring Blossoms stamp set
- Lots of Dots Mini stencil
- Peace Joy Love stencil
I primarily used the Finch Collage and The Goodness of God stamps to depict this bird which is singing as it takes a rest from flying.
I added black ink to the Finch Collage stamp but avoided the edges to have a more open image. Then, I kept inking parts of the stamp that included words mostly and stamped around the bird image to fill it out some more. I also stamped those same parts in other areas on the pages for continuity.
Next, I stamped the clipboard from Heart of Gratitude after inking the bottom portion only. Then, I stamped a verse from The Goodness of God set inside the clipboard. Then, I stamped the top portion of the clipboard above that. I didn’t think I could line up the parts of the clipboard perfectly so I left a gap between them and added some slashes with a pen to show where it is broken. Then, I coloured it using a black pencil crayon.
Next, I stamped the daffodil from Spring Blossoms, a few times, and coloured them using pencil crayons.
I used the Lots of Dots Mini stencil to add some colour to the pages in several areas. Then, I added some sentiments using the Peace Joy Love stencil.
Then, I used a swatch stamp from Heart of Gratitude to highlight the text as well as a yellow marker to underline the text.

🎶 ABBA (Arms of the Father) ~ Jonathan Hesler
This month, I’m exploring biblical principles for living by faith.
Faith is defined, in Hebrews 11:1, as “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”.
And, I’m starting off this series with the reminder to have a child-like faith.
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. [Matthew 18:1-4]
Children are dependent. They are humble enough to rely on others. They ask for what they need, and trust others to lead and provide for them.
As children of God, we can trust Him to both rest and fly, and to know which is necessary at any time.
Living by faith in this way is to rest knowing He is control. It also takes faith to fly, even when tired, trusting He will supply the strength necessary.
I’m feeling weary today but I’m still singing. I’m still reaching for His daily mercies with gratitude. Jesus is enough, yet our Father daily shows us His love. And that is reason to sing.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Psalm 100:4-5
