To create the background, I used the the Cloudy Day Edge stencil using pink and orange ink to look like a sunset, and the Grunge Textures Mini stencil in beige ink for the stones. I added the birds at the top and leaves on the bottom using the Take Flight stamps. Then I stamped the title using He Proved His Love.
It’s a reminder to live the “risen life”.
To live as one made new. To live by faith. To live like Jesus IS alive!
Paul exhorts us in Philippians 1:27 to live in a manner worthy of the gospel. To put the gospel on display in the way we live our lives, displaying the character of the One we call Lord. It is living like the old you really died.
That Jesus is alive means that we are also alive. It means that He is with us in a very real way, not “up there somewhere”. And He strengthens us to live this way.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
