True wisdom is realizing that, for all the knowledge we’ve acquired, there is still so much we don’t know.
It is seeing that with all our years and “maturity” we are all children; at varying stages of growth, yet still children.
Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.
Habakkuk 2:4
Reunited with the Father, we now get to live (enjoy) a life of faith – simply walking with our Lord, like children, beholding and rejoicing. What a God!
Here is a recap of what I’ve learned about Him in March through writing scripture in my faith planner.
He is our Protector
He gives us good things that keep us safe and well. He gives peace, strength, safety, hope, salvation, rest. He gives us everything! In peace, we can lie down and sleep.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Psalm 56:3-4

He is trustworthy
I loved the reminders this week that our God is trustworthy. We may not fully understand, sometimes, the why behind how He’s leading us. But, we can see from His word that it is ultimately for some good; He is faithful to His name.
He shelters, strengthens, and quiets.
He answers, delivers, and heals.
He blesses and makes us glad.
Seek refuge in Him, keep in step with His Spirit – you will not be ashamed.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.
Jeremiah 17:7

He is our Helper
He alone is God.
He is victorious over all the earth!
And, He is our Helper who is with us always.
How amazing and empowering is that?!
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33

He sustains us
He is the Sustainer of our faith.
He alone is capable and sufficient.
In faithfulness, He does what is necessary for our good and according to His purposes. Even when it doesn’t make sense, we can trust that He does what is right and best.
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.
Psalm 62:8

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22
