How’s your “love life”?
You know – this life of love we are commanded to live as followers of Jesus Christ.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.
Matthew 22:37-39
It may not be easy but it sure is simple – God, first and wholly, then others and self.
Our pastor spoke on Hebrews 10 last Sunday and he reminded us that we are able to draw near to God because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Because of His faithfulness, we are to be faithful in cheering one another on, encouraging towards love instead of provoking anger and discouragement. We are to stir up each other to become more like Jesus.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:23-25
I’m challenged to think about how I can simplify, to create more margin, to be more intentional about prioritizing these things.
Lord, stir me up to love and good works, according to Your will and for your glory.

This page in my NIV Journal the Word Bible features the following items by Creative Worship Stamps. These are affiliate links, please see the Privacy Policy for details.
I started by creating a background using a blending brush with yellow and green inks. Next, I used the Texture Tiles 12 and the Nature Silhouettes stamps to add some interest to the background. Then, I stamped the title with the Skinny Caps Alpha stamp and highlighted the text with a marker.
Be encouraged
City of God ~ Leeland
We are the city of God that He has placed on a hill to give light to the world. We have to come together in support of one another as we are united in this purpose. Let’s us encourage one another and exemplify His love as we bring the kingdom come!
