Process and products used:

This page in the NIV Journal the Word Bible (New Testament) pocket bible features the following products by Creative Worship Stamps. These are affiliate links, please see the Privacy Policy for details.

I wanted to keep this page very restrained. I started by stamping the word “MESSIAH” in red ink once then a second time below that with the residual ink. I repeated this all over the right side of the page to create a simple background. I used the stamp from the He Is stamp set.

Next, I used the new Polaroid die set to cut out mixed media paper. I stencilled over the frame using yellow ink and a blending brush with the Star Pattern stencil. Then, I outlined both the outer and inner edges using a black marker. I stamped the leaf branch from the Be A Wildflower stamp set on the page then glued the polaroid over it. I stamped the description of Jesus using the None Other Name stamp set on the inside of the polaroid. Then, I tucked in beside that a coloured die-cut leaf branch from the coordinating Be A Wildflower die set.

I stamped the title above all that using the Typewriter Alpha and Skinny Caps Alpha stamp sets. I finished by highlighting the text on the left page using yellow ink, outlining with a black pen, and adding a date stamp.

🎶 You Are I AM ~ Sanctus Real

Matthew 16:13-17 says
Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.

Who do we say He is?

Based on our thoughts and actions, beliefs and prayers – Who do we say He is? In other words, what does our way of life, our testimony, reveal about Jesus?

Jesus is the Messiah – the Christ, the Chosen and Anointed One promised by God.

He was set apart by God for a special mission; a rescue mission. The signs and miracles He performed during His life on earth prove that He is the One; the only One capable of redeeming us.

Knowing Who God is leads us to praise and worship Him.

Knowing Him also informs who we are as people made in His image. People who are anointed with His Spirit, and sent as Jesus was sent.

This month, I’m closing out the year in the same way I started – by beholding God and rejoicing. Find related posts here: Names of God.

But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
