We’re called to be a living sacrifice yet He’s always been after our heart.
How we go, as people on mission, matters. Our lives should be a song of praise to His glory, praising Him well, i.e. joyfully, skillfully, and wholeheartedly!
Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.

I love doing simple pages like this with big impact, made easy with the Bold Blooms stencil. I applied pink ink in the blooms sections, using a blending brush, and green ink in the leafy sections. The effect achieved using blending is so pretty as depth can be added by going over some areas to be darker.
After blending, I stamped “praise Him” using the Glory & Praise set and added “WELL” using the Skinny Caps Alpha. I finished the page with some black and white washi, highlighting with a marker, plus my notes and a prayer.

🎶 Whole Heart (Hold Me Now) ~ Hillsong UNITED, TAYA, Aodhán King
I’ve read Psalm 33 many times before and was always encouraged by the reminder that we have many reasons to praise God. He is so good and has done so much for us! As people who have received His salvation and deemed “righteous” when before we were lost and on the path to destruction, we should be so amazed and thankful. Yet, reading it recently, it stood out to me not just that we should praise Him but how we are to praise Him.
“Sing joyfully” and “shout for joy”
“Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him”
“In him our hearts rejoice”
In essence, praise Him at the “heart” (inner person, soul) level. Praise Him with gusto or zeal. Make a joyful noise. Praise Him with our entire being!
Let all the world hear the righteous rejoice; He is so worthy of it.
For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.
