We are created for good works.
Yes, we are saved by grace and not by our own efforts. Our salvation stands on our faith in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished on the cross because we cannot attain to the righteousness required by God. Upon belief and profession of faith, we are sealed by His indwelling Spirit.
However, our faith results in works. The proof of our faith is made evident in the good works that we go on to complete by His Spirit. It is evident in the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, etc. It is evident in the spiritual gifts we receive and the missional work we are led to complete for the kingdom.
I’m thankful that I get to show up while He prepares, He leads, and He empowers the work. To Him be all the praise and glory!
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

I love the colours used on this page! I created the background using the Floating Circles stencil with yellow and blue inks and a blending brush. Where the two colours met resulted in lovely hues of green.
Next, I used the Vintage Ledger Page stamp on a blue sticky note using a dark blue ink. I stamped the definition for “love” over that, using the Faith Definitions 1 stamp set, then glued it to the page. Then, I stamped some florals around that using the Hummingbird Wishes stamp set in black inks. I also stamped them on the top of the page. Then, I stamped the hummingbird, from that same set, next to that.
I stamped the verse reference using the Jumbo Textured Numbers stamp set and the Boss Lady Alpha stamp set. The colon was done using the dots on the I and J stamps in the Boss Lady Alpha stamp set. Then, I stamped the title below that using the Walk with Jesus stamp set and the Boss Lady Alpha stamp set.
Lastly, I stencilled the word “love” in a few places using the Peace Joy Love stencil then added a date stamp.
