I’m diving into Illustrated Faith’s latest devotional and it is just what I needed this week! I’m saying “yes and thank you!” to the invitation to linger in His peace.
A different kind of peace
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
John 14:27
The peace that God offers, and invites us into, is not like the world’s. It is not in the absence of trouble but in the midst of it. His peace enables us to overcome the challenges of our circumstances and walk through them with confidence.
Accessing this peace is simple
Entering into His peace is simple, but perhaps not that easy in practice. However, that is the key – practice. As we do this more and more it becomes easier to go from being troubled to feeling His peace.
Philippians 4:4-9 gives us the prescription for peace:
- Rejoice and give Him praise.
- Pray and ask God for what you want.
- Give thanks for everything He has already given.
- Switch your focus to that is good.
Doing this reminds us who He is and who we are as His children. It comforts us with the reminder that He faithfully provides for our needs. It also brings us into the presence of God, and where He is there is abundant peace.

Illustrated items used
These pages are in a basic, blank, A5 notebook that I use for faith journaling. I used items from the devotional kit by Illustrated Faith for February 2025 which is called “Invited”. It was written by Isabela Schielke who is @isabelaschielkestudio on Instagram.

The alpha stamp is also by Illustrated Faith and can be found here: Mini Beloved 3×4 Alpha Stamp. Note: out of stock stamps are usually brought back if there is sufficient interest. Feel free to contact IF, if interested, to request it.
I also used a printable by @kristina.proffitt called Let God In for the journaling spots.

There is something so loving about an invitation. It is not forced, but offered and promised.
When was the last time you were invited?
When was the last time you said yes?
