My day started off as one of those days. You know them – when the day just isn’t going how you’d prefer and you want to grumble.
I would’ve preferred a solid night’s sleep, thank you very much! I would’ve preferred to not have bleary eyes when I have to do computer work. I would’ve preferred to not have the younger kids squabbling and the teenager being disobedient.
Still, I will stubbornly (faithfully) praise Him, rejoice, and pray His will be done. For my joy, peace, hope, and love rest on my good God and He is faithful!
I’m thankful that I got the sleep I needed. I’m thankful for the opportunity to persevere. I’m thankful for the opportunities to show, and teach, mercy and grace.
I’m thankful for His gracious love.

My journaling is in my faith journal which is a basic, blank, A5 notebook.
I used two new printables by Kristina @kristina.proffitt for the Illustrated Faith’s digital Print Pray Shop. They are called “Hope Has a Name” and “Joyful Journal Notes” which invited some reflections on the advent season (notes are from the Bible Project).

Jesus came and will come again!
In the wait, we can live with confident hope and walk by faith. We can live the promised future today! We can live with the lasting joy, peace, hope, and love that is characteristic of the Kingdom of God as our present reality.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
