True courage, as shown through the life of Moses, looks like God-confidence over self-confidence.

True Courage is the latest devotional by Illustrated Faith. Written by @brookepetermann_art, it invites us to “take a closer look at what it means to live with true courage and step into a life marked by courageous faith”.
This session, featuring Moses who was reluctant when called by God to lead His people, resonated with me as I too like to be prepared. After being criticized most of my life for being too quiet and soft spoken, after being told “I can’t hear you” and “I don’t understand what you said”, it’s taken time for me to find my voice.
I’m still hesitant to step up to the podium but I have seen again and again that He speaks through me, saying exactly what is needed for that moment.
We are called and risen up to lead and guide; don’t shrink back now. Our God is all sufficient!
For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

🎶 I Will Not Fear ~ Bridge Worship
When the faith I have is small
And the waves are growing tall
There’s a stillness I have found at Your feet
When the unexpected comes
I’m reminded where to run
There’s a place that I have found at Your feet
I will not fear
The Lord is with me
I won’t forget
Your faithfulness
You’ll never leave me
God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
