I’m scripture writing, in my faith planner, and reflecting on joy this month. Last time, I shared about the strength in joy and what if joy heals.
This week, there were prayers for revelation and insight. There were discussions about, and requests for, empathy. Everyone is enduring something during these days of refinement.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
Romans 12:15
Lamenting and empathy are not contrary to joy. Rather, they are pathways that can lead to joy as we are seen and heard, understood and comforted.
We can be joyful in “affliction” because He is good.
Our God is always good and lovingly steadfast.
Sovereign over our estate and disposition, He provides all we need to experience and abound in hope, joy, and peace! It really depends on how we perceive these “opportunities” and what we do with them.
What if the difficulty you’re facing right now is an invitation to know greater joy?

[Psalm 30:11-12] “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!”

🎶 What My Father’s Like ~ Bridge Worship
What kind of Father
Would give His only son
Lay it all on the line
Just to be with me
Just to set me free
With love’s arms around me
I’m finally home
There’s no better feeling
Than being known
Always good and always kind
This is what my Father’s like
Whatever we may think or feel about our circumstances, the truth is the God is good always. He has proven that He is not withholding goodness. Choose to believe, choose to see, choose hope, joy, and peace to endure and overcome.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
1 Chronicles 16:34
