Faith

Faith, hope, and love; with joy

Faith, hope, and love; with joy.

It is one thing to grit our teeth and endure in faith, holding on to hope, and loving as instructed. It is another to do so with joy from rest in Him.

This is the theme I’m lingering in this month.

[Hebrews 11:1] “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

‭‭[Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬] “For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness.”

[Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭37‬-‭40‬] “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

[Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭11‬-‭12‬] “being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.”

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

🎶 Rest in Me ~ the King will come

I see you hiding
I hear you crying
I know you’re trying
I see you’re hurting
I hear your words
Just give me your burdens
And I know you never wanted to be broken
But I need you to be broken to be open

I don’t want to watch you in the darkness
I don’t want to see you in the cold
I won’t ever leave you standing out there on your own
Let me be the one to take your burdens
Wrap you in my arms and walk you home
You were never meant to have to do this on your own
So rest in me
Rest in me

Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken.
